How Can We Help You?

By Connie Hougland

We are committed to our vision of “creating a culture of generosity,” and we’re constantly seeking to serve well and leverage resources to grow God’s Kingdom. So how does this translate to the ministries we serve?

Without a doubt, our work with ministries is key to who we are and what we do. SCCF’s service to ministries is multi-faceted but focused on what we do best. Our desire is to come along side ministries and help them grow resources/funding and serve their donors.

Ministry / Church Foundation Fund (DAF) – Through our donor advised funds, ministries and churches can establish a Ministry or Church Foundation Fund. This foundation fund helps ministries and churches enhance their services to donors and obtain the ability to capture non-cash gifts. By having a fund with SCCF, ministries and churches have access to experts in the giving arena enabling them to accept even the most complex asset gifts such as business interest and real estate. – Through we offer a turn-key solution to help non-profits market their ability to capture non-cash gifts. offers two key services: (1) a subscription website, and (2) donation processing. gives ministries a website template that allows them to educate and inform givers about non-cash giving and actually receive those non-cash gifts online. Second, receives and processes these non-cash gifts, tracking progress on those gifts online.

Treasurehouse – The Treasurehouse is in essence our catalog of ministries. It is available in an online searchable database as well as a printed book. The Treasurehouse is a community building tool that provides exposure opportunities for ministries.

Christian Foundation Grants – Christian Foundation Grants (CFG) is a subscription based web service which seeks to increase grant funding for Christian organizations by improving access to Christian foundations and foundations that support Christian causes.

Passion Awards – The Passion Awards represent the annual open grant opportunity that SCCF offers for ministries. The Passion Awards are given as part of our signature event -the Thurman Mitchell Servant Leadership Celebration. SCCF releases its Request for Proposal for the Passion Awards in March.

Training – SCCF seeks to provide practical training opportunities for ministries. Trainings include: grant writing, foundation center training, and growing giving to your ministry. In addition, SCCF partners with other organizations to bring in experts in the field of board development and fundraising to offer training opportunities for those we serve.

Consulting – We enjoy opportunities to consult with ministries as they work to establish leadership structures, refine their marketing message, develop fundraising strategies, and connect with others in the non profit community. We also work individually with new and emerging ministries to help them navigate the channels of establishing their non-profit.

We are always trying to expand our services to ministries. One of our many plans for the future is a resource book (in print and online) that lists potential resources topically (i.e. direct mail, capital campaign, web, etc.). We also plan to offer more networking opportunities and development forums to further strengthen the community of generosity we envision.

So how can we serve you? Leave us a comment or contact us and let us know!
